Thanks Kell, just don't know how long it will last. Seems that the phone company doesn't get excited when a customer has intermittent service. They might after I drive them to drink. :-)

Shirley, that will work. I had almost the same problem and I'm sure someone reached for a cold one after talking with me about service!!! I'll put your name down for one of the top cuttings as soon as this thing stops blooming. Gotta love it, 3 and 4 buds from every little node.
Now they are trying to convince me that it is my two week old modem. Gateway had me to a check on the modem and it is looking like the problem might be the line to the computer. Long story, but I'll get it fixed one day. Just have to be sure to unplug the phone line to the puter in order to get phone calls. It is a pain, but for now I'll deal with it. I can't stand to not visit Daves or not get emails.

I'll be able to get online anytime now, I think. I just have to remember to unplug when I quit so that my phone will start working. As soon as Gateway gets back to me about my modem, I'll get something done so it won't be such a pain.
