I hope we do this right i have searched the net for info and all i get are pics no info on how to grow them from seed.
oh and na na na na na I got to pick mine up in person and had a wonderful time

LOL Troy, we certainly did. I believe there are enough in each packet to try a few different ways and perhaps one of us of the 25 will luck out. If not guess I'll keep my eyes open and order 25 seedlings from the next catalog and send one to everyone!

From what I've found on the aroids page is that they are best planted fresh, doesn't give any special instruction.

Thanks jody, I put a few in pots myself right after they dried and will see if they do anything.
Sent about 5 more envelopes this am. Been sending them out as soon as they come in, so keep those cards and letters coming LOL!

I can't wait to get mine! I have been learning the past 2 years starting different kinds of aroids from seed, and I am looking forward to experimenting with these. It is so generous of you to give us each enough to try different methods.

One reason there are so few instructions about aroids is that they are so new to gardeners, little has been published (because little has been known). Another reason DG is so important: lots of us together can add so much to each other (and all the ones to follow us) from our experiences.

Good luck all. If I get any started myself from the few I planted, I'll be happy to give them away as my garden plants are thriving quite well. Hope you all get some going from seed would be quite a successful experiment!

Morph, I'll let you know if any go unclaimed. Sorry but the number I had was limited and have already promised the few I planned to keep for myself. If any are unclaimed though, you may certainly have them. I'll keep you posted. Will check this evening and see how many more I have to go out. I know for sure that Redrose wants and will send SASE, but she is without power at present so hers are on hold.

Sorry, I am new.
Would like to trade seeds but only have zinnias,mixed
White Cosmos, and some tall airy looking cosmo, but with
leaves like a marigold, and tiny yellow flowers.

Saved them cause I liked them.

SASE stands for Self Addressed Stamped Envelope - this is in lieu of a trade Arlene.

onca156 - at the present time, yes it is too late. I only had 25 pkgs. of seed and a few extra in case of error on my part. Not everyone who was in the original 25 has sent me an SASE. I posted a new forum - DRAC Seeds Final Count - if the few who haven't sent SASE are no interest, I will have a few extra pkgs. I'll let you know. Perhaps you should post on the new Drac Seed forum, so I don't forget!
