Dracuncula Vulgaris Seed Signup

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

I have exactly 25 units of Drac seeds (approximately 25 seeds per pack). They are from this years' plants and are dried and ready to go.

I will e-mail the first 25 folks signed up below with my address to send SASE and please include DG user name for reference.

At this time, I am not interested in a trade, but will be happy to send out the seeds with the SASE.

Enjoy,
Candee

Mystic, mine stay out all year here and they multiply. I must not have enough females yet as although I had seven or so come up last year, got got one large seed pod. I am this year experimenting and have planted some seed in pots in my little weather proof greenhouse and will be curious what they produce, if anything. I started with one bulb a few years ago and they have really done well.

So far I count 13 for seeds. I have already e-mailed my addy to the first few (hunterx, red, bitty, greenleaf & ladylavender) and will e-mail mystic, tiG, snowhermit, farmgirl21, icebud, jody, crestedchik and arsenic when I get home from work this evening.

Good luck all, can't wait to hear the results!

Oh, please, me? I lost count, please, please please!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Lupine, you made it.

Forgot to ADD, no special envelopes, just regular lettersize envelopes with $.37 cents postage. There are about 25 seeds per unit and a REGULAR ENVELOPE will suffice!

WELL, that's all folks I count 26 and fortunately, I kept a few extra seeds for screwups on my end which I'll need. Will get them out as soon as the envelopes arrive.
thanks,
Candee and good luck with the seed.
Everyone listed above THIS POST is on the RECEIVING end!

Haighr dont forget me.

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

Thank you Haighr, I sent my postage yesterday. ($0.49 -- for the work you are going to for us ;)

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

OKAY, if I count correctly that now is 26, tarogers you are the famous 26. Fortunately, I did keep a few extra in case of a screw up on my end, so you'll get a pkg. of seed to taragers.
HOWEVER, that's all I have left so everybody from tarogers5 and UP are getting some Drac seeds. The envelopes started arriving yesterday and I will start mailing them back on Monday. Hope you have good luck with them.

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

Candee, can you put the requirements for planting the seed in the Plant Database for us? Thanks. I love the photo you uploaded there :)

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Well, lupine I would if I knew the details. I started mine a few years ago from tiny plants I had mail ordered. I have this year planted a few seeds in pots outside in my little plastic covered greenhouse and am hoping they sprout in 60 days.

Got SASE's from mystic, snowhermit, farmgirl21, jodi, vic, yardbird, fairyhunter, hugeposiepatch and yours lupine. Will put them in the mail on monday. There are about 25 seeds per pkg. so I would try some now and some in the spring and see what ya wind up with.

Catoosa, OK(Zone 7a)

My envelope is in the mail! It should be there soon. :-)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

mailed mine this AM

Oh, I missed out!

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

Candee, couldn't seem to get my act together this week but I dropped the envelope in the mail yesterday. Thanks, Brenda

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

NP plantnutz, sending the ones I have received out today's mail and will send more as they come in. Shirley e-mailed me and said they should soak for 24 hours before planting. There are about 25 seeds or so per pkg. so may want to experiment, soak a few, scratch a few plant a few now and plant a few in spring. Sorry, not much help in the seed propagation as mine were started from quite small plants through mail catalog.
