Well, hi there, Brugmansia...never seen you before. Do you mean that little house downtown with the brug out in the front lawn? Hehehe...where do you think I got my first brug from?? And it's wonderful!! Look back sometime and check out the postings...and they smell soooo good!! Wow! I'm so glad I finally got back on the puter more regularly...that's 2 people from San Antonio that I've met this month!!! You're at Ft. Sam Houston? I do my shopping there...we'll have to meet sometime!!! Besides my builder, Jim, I haven't met anyone who even knows what a brug is around here!!
x flava Mobisu
Eric, last summer has been tough for sangs and x flavas with temp. up to 37°C. Mobisu handled it very well.
Oh, wait...Brugmansia, you're Eric??? I thought Eric was "Brugmania"...like a brug maniac? Hehe...Wow...How did I not know you were in Ft. Sam?????? Did you just get transferred here or something?? Oh, please, please, please will you come help me with my brugs??????????
have to watch for that 's' :) Eric, we always love to see you post (you too John)
Meiyu,
Yes the little house in downtown San Antonio. I saw the one in the front yard and it looked like it got bit back by the cold as did the Sunray in the side of the yard. The candida that was protected by the wall from the wind did not die back though. I noticed the same thing at the River Walk. The brugs that were protected by the walls for the most part did not die back. There were several however that were taken back a few few feet on the Rive Walk. I must confess I love Brugs and would love to see more, but most of my time right now is pretty much tied up here in San Antonio. The little bit of time I get off I spend with my family visiting the botanical garden, taking nature walks at the parks, etc. I must confess this year is going to be an extremely buisy one.
and i planted some brugs on the side of my house, so maybe they won't die back??? that would be great!! i'm sorry you're so busy, eric...sure would like a chance to meet you! i'm at the botanical gardens all the time with my mother, and also the sunken gardens and the whitte museum. maybe we'll run into each other one day. it's hard to miss us...mama gets to ride in the wheelchair while a sweat and moan pushing her..haha!!
Jeanne, how did your 2 seedlings do? Any chance of a flower soon?
Can't wait to see how yours all do. Mobisu is so so pretty!!
Definitely high up on the anticipation thrill meter!!!
