It's beautiful. I sure wish one of my pink ones was full of blooms like yours. As the heat lessens, I think mine will do better. It has been a terrible summer for them. Only a half dozen to a dozen blooms at one time. I sure hope they put on a show later in the fall. Hard to believe that you had some cold weather while I am sweating outside today.
An Iowa Pink Beauty getting ready
Irish, I've seen some of your beautiful brugs. I think we have all done well.
Frannie, I'm working outside today in a jacket and still don't feel real warm. The sun has never made it out and there is enough of a breeze to make it pretty chilly. I've heard that in the next five days we are going to have lows in the mid forties and one day our high is to only be about 62. That is pretty chilly. We should still have some warm weather though.
Brugie...good working weather for me!!:-)
Very nice flowers.......!
You would think with all this fat that I would be warm outside too, but NOT!!
Rothkirk's daughters are really beautiful...my goodness what a sight to see...
Brugie, this is the most gorgeous thing. I know now that I need some of your black dirt, maybe I can bring you some sand next summer and bring home some of that dirt, LOL!!
Dee, I'm not sure you want my dirt. It is full of weed seeds. I'm so glad I found PREEN. Sure saves me a lot of hard work, but some seeds still germinate. From the looks of my vegie garden, I should have used a lot more of it. I'm sure we can find you some good black dirt if you want some. :-)
Gorgeous!!!
Awesome Shirley :)!!! simply lovely! u've done well!!!
Burgie that is beautiful and I can't wait until I have one that will produce that many blooms.
Well today it happened. Two of the pods on Pink Beauty were ready to pick. They had turned to mush. Not a good feeling in the hand until the seeds became visible. One had 38 seeds and the other one had 82. Found that is isn't advisable to try to peel when they are right out of the pod. First two I split the bean in half, so I planted a few and the rest are drying. Nice size beans in them too. Hope there will be something nice from my Pink Beauty, AKA Rosamond X Butterfly. I think I'm going to start referring to this one as Rosamond since Monika felt that it is Rosamond. Who would know better than Monika. It is just hard to get used to calling it something else.
Shirley, It sounds like a great cross and I'm hoping you will get something very special from it. Congratulations!
Thanks Terry. I just hope the seeds are good. I've had some from another cross that were basically empty.
Congratulations Brugie!! Good one!
S,
Hope you get something special from the seeds!!!
Your Rosamond was gorgeous Miss Brugie! I am pink with envy! So your seeds are from Brugie made cross of BF and Rosamond?
so is there a pink beauty brug and is it a euro brug?
good for you, ms brugie. i found the same thing with the fresh seeds, can't peel them! i'm still wondering if you could end up with an RK or ocre, seeing how those are the parents of both, right?
Good morning Miss Arlene!
Arlene, I hope we are lucky and do get something really on the red side. That would be wonderful. Yes, Kell. They are from a man made cross. Got three pods from 5 blooms. Better than I thought I would.
Beautiful Pink Beauty/Rosamond Shirley:)
So do I Miss Brugie, so do I !!!
Excellent choices, should be some really GOOD ones. Wish you luck!!!
That's a beautiful brug Bruggy
thats great, none of my pods are ripe yet, wish I had mine blooming so I could make that cross too......
Wow Brugie!! :) Seems like the pods ripened really fast. I bet you'll get some beauties from the cross. I can't wait to see how they turn out!
Thanks everyone. It will be fun trying for something really nice. Too bad so many seeds have to be planted to be sure I don't toss the one good one.
