ND - Kell, she's almost in our time zone. Yay!
Kell, I've got one too, but mine is bigger, lol
I'm here, and I can post a picture. Hang on a sec while I leave you hanging to go out and drag him in for a photo shoot.
Okay, I can't tell for sure if this photo shows the wrinkling that I was concerned about or not. It's wrinkling badly on the end. From reading this thread though, I'm assuming it's perfectly normal for them to do that before they bloom, so I'm still hoping that all is well.
that looks fine to me Joan............but I am not the expert! but if it is all green with no browning and the leaves look normal, I would not worry!
Nope, I can see already that you can't see the wrinkling. Sorry.
Thanks Kell, it's all green and the new leaves look great. The old leaves are a little tattered from a wind storm we had a while back, but it looks perfectly healthy otherwise. I'm very excited about my first brug blooms, and I have no idea what color they will be, but I'll love them whatever they turn out to be.
That is what is so special about brug blooms, even common ones look great! Though the last few weeks on this forum does have me looking at my dear Frosties with a little bit of wish it was ......!
Liz, I just went back and read your reply again, and what you said makes some sense after I though about it and thunk back in my memory for other brug pictures that have been posted. The bloom (corolla), is inside the calyx (which is what my photo is. Right? When I look at my buds in the light, I can only see something inside about halfway down the calyx, so they are not ready to bloom yet I think? Am I on the right tract?
I need a brugs for dummies book in a big way.
if you can see the corolla inside the calyx, you're very close to a bloom. make sure you bring that puppy in at night. it can take up to a week from where you're at, but you're sooooooooo close.
Joan, didn't mean to ignore you, it was late here and with all the silliness, we forget sometimes. Your bud looks healthy and pretty close to blooming.
i didn't get any respond on what the Masterblend? i do realized it is a fertilizer, but what is it? when can it be bought? is it online? if not, what are the # combination? i.e. MG 15-30-15. thx.
Joan, there is a brug book if you'd like to email me for ISBN etc. And we're all waiting for Monika's book to be translated to english
MaVie, Master Blend is a brand of fertilize like Miracle Grow, we buy it by the pallet. They specially formulate it according to the crop I'm growing and the pH and calcium carbonate hardness of my water combined with the pH and EC of my growing media. It's more water soluble than Peters or MG and the blue dye(which is in there as a "marker" for injections systems)doesn't stain. It doesn't clump in damp weather if you forget to close the bag.I tried to find a web site but couldn't.
thank u Cala :)! don't worry i think i can find the web site if there is one.
i found it Cala ... http://www.masterblend.com/home.html
Thanks MaVie, I wasn't putting in the "International" part.
MaVie - you should have been a librarian - you can find anything that was ever written down - amazing!
i do not know about the "International" part, if u want to know their products: click on the left side "products" then click either commercial or retail. i clicked on the retail part to see the different combination of fertilizer they sell. no prices showing, only phone #.
That is it Cala..........we should call Ma Vie the Librarian!!!
I agree Kell, she is very good. Wonder if she wears her glasses down on her nose? Wonder if she would make us sit in the corner for being too noisy?
Who you calling noisy??
i am nearsighted!!!! i work on the computer without eye glass. sorry to disappoint u, i love to rollick and play along too! for all intent and purposes, i might be much louder with all of u put together LOL!!! i maybe older than most of U, but very young at heart. now do u wonder why my children always tells me to act my age??? LOL!!!
MaVie - have you looked at the librarians these days? They sure don't look like the ones I remember. These ones are party animals!
Gee - had to read about this thing - I thought it was a Luffa!!, LOL
i know what u mean Liz :)! time sure have changed LOL!
oh Liz, you were the one that said Librarian! I think it fits her.............maybe the Wild Librarian?
What is Osmocote? I love your huge bud and will be looking forward to seeing the bloom.
Osmocote is a time release fertilizer. There are all different kinds. I like the one with extra minors in it. They have kinds that last from 3-9 months, even have a "Southern" formula that lasts longer in our heat.
Thanks :}
