I'm trying to put something into words to express my feelings and thoughts about that poem, and I just can't. It's so very awesome.
What a gift you have to be able to write like that. So often, poets write their best work from real emotional pain and experiences.
You are a real-life survivor, and you've seen the help of God and his angels in all kinds of disguises. How awesome that is.

What a wonderful writer you are. Did you ever think about having them published to hand down to the next generation?
There are Angels around all of us if we would just take a moment and look around and realize just who those angels are.

ZM - Your poem was inspiring, sad and then joyful. You invited us to look into your soul and that was a brave thing to do. I felt your pain and then some, but I too believe in angels no matter what shape or form they take. Thankyou for sharing this with us. :-)

O.k. now I am blushing! It is odd that after all these years I can look back at those times as if it had all just been a dream that happened to someone else!

I grew up with a father who wrote poems for everything. If my room was messy I'd find a poem on the door about it...if I made him proud or if he was disapointed there were poems...I tried to carry that on to my children.

I never thought about it as something someone else might actually want to read! Most of it is silly stuff like Fairies or was my form of self therapy during lifes rough spots.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I will try to find the other Angels poems for you and put them on a hyperlink for anyone who is interested. I don't want to take up DG with my stuff.
