San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh God, Brugie just emailed me. It is just a matter of time before she comes on here. HIDE me!! And you all!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL!! if it makes photo of the day, everyone's going to come and read this and find out just how bad you are!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

you do not mean MOI?? Do you? Of course not! It is Waterlilly. all of it! And Hibisucus is just tryng to deflect attention away from her white brug. What to do with these girls??

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Okay Kell, see what you have started and it does seem rather X rated to me. I won't even say what I think when I look at that bud. Remember, I'm 58 years old and married to an older man. :-) You are No 1 on my list okay, but I'm not sure it is for a brug cutting. With this one you would be dangerous.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oops, I was laughing and maybe got too loud

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

NO doubt that day will come and I will take you up on that kind offer!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Gosh - a girl goes to eat dinner and all H%#$ is breaking loose. It's 8:30 here and you guys are wild! This wouldn't have anything to do with Kell's oysters and champagne would it?
There is no way that Kell could get banished - we love her too much!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

brugie, have the blooms opened yet? dying to see this. mine are getting pretty fat too.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Arlene, I was talking on the phone to Renee and the wind came up. When I got off the phone, I knew it was time to water the brugs and this is what I found. This was just about a half hour ago. Made me sick. Golfito had blown over on my baby and took the whole top off, so if this bloom doesn't go ahead and open, and I doubt it will, I'll have to wait until next year to see what color it might have been. Ever feel like saying bad words? I DID !!

That's pretty!! Don't that beat all? Guess someone is putting a "spell" on her??? Maybe, if she isn't completely ruined, you might get a couple more before frost, sure hope so.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gloria, there is nothing left to bloom. No side shoots, so she will just have to wait until next year. All the buds are on the part that broke off.

So sad Brugie. You wait all year and this happens.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Yes Jeanne, and everything was doing so well until this fall and it all breaks loose. Oh well, there is always next year. Now the plant is small enough to hold over in the basement. :-)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I'm so sorry, this is awful.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm sorry I didn't get to see it bloom, but not upset now. The neighbors cattle were out today and if they had come through the brugs, then I would have been upset.

(Zone 6a)

Shirley, what lousy stinking luck! Want to borrow my bottle of sleeping pills? j/k
Send me one of the broken pieces and I would love to try to root it.

My EP is just this evening finally opening (yellow at least the first night).....hope our storm holds off a couple of days!

Arlene,

We are counting on you, to see what this really is!!

Don't let anything happen to it before it blooms. Hope it is pink, the bud was beautiful!

Gloria

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Miss Brugie . . I am sad for you :( No doubt, I would have uttered a few words also. Don't you think there might be a chance that it will continue to open?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

thanks hibiscus. known of you would have wanted to know what i would have said. maybe it'll bloom in water, that can happen. looks like it was close.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

So sorry for that happening. I was hoping to see the bloom. Ah well, I lost the top out of HG the other day.

Hamilton, Canada

Brugie I know you must be disappointed.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I am so sorry Shirley, it is so disappointing for you and all of us watching this huge bud waiting to see it open, disaster!!

Mine had buds, they all fell off, during that cold spell. Has buds coming, but will be two-three weeks before I know for sure. By that time, somone else probably will be showing it open. Sure hope it doesn't disappoint us all!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

The bloom wilted as I thought it would. There are buds on the branch, but the whole thing is wilted now. I'll just wait until next year. Could have been worse. What if it had happened to Pink Beauty? Sorry to hear about HG Susie. Do you have any other branches that have Y'ed and have buds yet? Mine has buds again, but I don't know if it will have time to bloom.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Brugie, one stem has a Y but is a long way from blooming. I can bring it into the greenhouse. If it doesn't bloom soon, I'm tempted to toss the darned thing out.

(Zone 6a)

Shirley, maybe if you put it in some dilute Miracle Grow it will still open.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Owen, when they wilt to the point of being wet, there is no way to get it to open. I'm just going to be satisfied with waiting until next year.

Cala, did you get the White Pearl X Big to bloom yet? Mine gets buds and then drops them. I'm really getting tired of waiting on this one. Sure would like to see what it is going to look like though.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Brugie, it lost it's little buds,(my fault, when I saw it was wilted, I knew what would happen) but it's made another Y. It's very tall, way over my head.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

SHirley, So sorry you lost the bud.Next year though you will have the excitement again of waiting for a new bloom that you haven't seen before.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee Whiz Brugie, isn't that just like a man.........all promises, leading you on and on. You take such trouble to get it to grow, you want it to blossom. Lots of hard devotoion. You are thrilled, it is almost mature, and is ready to give back! You feel you are finally going to get the pay off...........anticipation is at its height! Oh NO, it is the time to show what you are made of! And just then, it falls off.............. deflated and defeated by an unknown enemy!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

kell!!!!! take your pills!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Fruit cakes! ha!
