My Rosa Traum isn't Adora

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It's not even pink. Waaaaaaah, can y'all see the tears all over everything? It's white of all colors(non color) and it's all Kell's fault, I don't know how it is, but I'm sure she had something to do with it!!!

maybe it will turn in the morning???

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

TiG, this is day two already. I was hoping that yesterday.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

bummer.....

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Wonder if someone will take pity on me??? I have a nice white to trade, lol.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Cala, did it have a huge calyx? Mine is huge and I'm seeing no corolla extending down yet. It is as fat as a silver dollar and probably over 4 inches long now. Can't wait to see it bloom. If mine is the real McCoy, I'll send you a cutting.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Brugie, didn't I get this one from you? I can't remember, but thought that's where I got it, it was very tiny.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

No, not from me. I just got mine this spring from Hibiscus.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Uh oh, I do that all the time, that's where I got mine!! I get you guys confused all the time!! She is gonna skin my hide for that!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

so you got it where?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

That means mine isn't going to be in living color either!! Darn.......I know Gloria will be very disappointed.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

okay, wonder where she got hers, I have two from different sources

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Cala, Is this the one that traveled north on your trip?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Snow, that would be the one. So sorry.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Don't worry Cala. I'll just change the tag. Any idea what this one is. I love surprises and this one will be a surprise. :)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Well, it's white, lol. (my new favorite non color)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Mine came from hibiscus too!!!!!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Arlene, but your's is pink isn't it? How many days to change color? This is day 2.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I wonder where she got it. Anyone know?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

this is starting to sound like a conspiracy. My Rosa Traum, not, maybe Adora, turned out pink. It came from LBJ. Will post tomorrow.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Liz, maybe Cala's next bloom will be pink too. Is that possible?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

....What can I say??? Got it from LBJ, paid MONEY for it!
You all got the same rooted cuttings. Arlene was yours' pink? Please say "Yes". Shirley, please tell us what yours' turns out like. pink, pink, pink!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

hon, it isn't your fault!!! but if they all turn out white, I'd demand my money back!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Yes, then there is hope for mine!!! Do you think I didn't feed it enough? I've took good care of it.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'll do the happy dance if mine is pink. Will sure let you know when the time comes. Can't be too much longer.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Ha! Fat chance! They are not even taking orders, let alone talking to old customers!

Would like to hear if others had anything different in color. Please say it will turn out ok.

Gloria, don't worry about it. It will still be special because it came from you.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

hon, it will turn out okay no matter what. :)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Yep, I'll jsut add some pink pollen, maybe get a pink seedling.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Try a spray bottle with some red food coloring. :-) Just kidding, maybe it will end up blooming pink. Wasn't it Eric that said sometimes the first blooms will be white and then color will show in later blooms?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Here's hoping, lol. I thought maybe it was just opening white, I know L'Amour is yellow, and then spotted pink then dark pink. Pink Beauty is White for a few minutes, before it's pink as is Ecuador Pink. That's why I waited. I'll check again tomorrow.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Mine has buds, haven't opened, probably in the next week they'll open. can't wait to see them!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

You all are so sweet, bless you!!

Arlene, we are sitting on the edge of our chairs here, waiting for your answer.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

there is no plant worth getting upset with a friend over. You're a much prettier blossom than any brug!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Well said tiG!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

tiG

You've got to be an Angel. Thank you.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

nah, I just appreciate my friends, like we all do here. if we wind up not having this at all, we'll just have to come up with a hybrid as pretty.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Oh my goodness, Gloria, this is a plant we're talking about, not world peace. As we all know, the next while is cutting time, I'm sure there will be lots of Rosa Traum/Adora moving around.
This year, as opposed to last year, there are tons of digital photos being posted. So we know what we are looking at. Want to know how I know that? I ran out of paper for my printer. I pulled out my biggest file - brugs. Hardly any pictures. Not surprising that we were flying blind last year.
So Gloria - don't worry about it.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Hee hee, I love whites, lol. I didn't have many pink seedlings(except from CC and Eric) so know what??? I put some pink pollen on them all. I agree with Liz and TiG and everyone else, it's just a plant and someone did have Adora earlier didn't they?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Hey! Love you guys!! This is what makes DG so "special"
