Goodness Gracious!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

For some reason I am SO EXHAUSTED...feel like I've been up and at it forever...riding my motorbike backwards like I did in my younger days, whoopin' and hollerin', and feeling my adrenaline shooting thru my body over and over and over. Just don't know what is happening to me...and those dreams...and the voices...are starting to come back again (haven't heard them for yrs). For some uncanny reason I have the desire for crocagator tails, then it changes to a "gotta have venison" craving...then I pass out in a sweat w/nightmares of a large woman from my past looking at me and licking her lips, perhaps my old typing teacher? I think I'm getting ready to have 'the big one'...my heart is palpatating, my hands are a-shakin'....I'm confused but at the same time in awe of the world around me, especially my friends who have a wonderfully WILD imagination...perhaps I better go put some Early Times in this here cup of coffee.

Are you being serious, Horseshoe?

Dave

LOL, Horseshoe -- so that means you *like* our round-robi story, right? ;-) Kimberley

Horseshoe, your posting is so funny, you should add to the story and put us all in stitches.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Aren't you just a tiny bit flattered....lol. Maybe your post could be the start of the third chapter :-)

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

DAVE!! Who me!!?? Be serious!!? (can't be...I'm Aquarius!) HAH! Heck yeh, GW! I LOVE the story! Ya'll been studying my mind, ain't ya!!? Lawd Lawd.... Molly, my first inclination was to chip in, but it seems ya'll are doing a much better job! It is wonderful...(not just cuz my name is mentioned tho...the story has so many great twists and turns in it!!) And sweet Louisa, yes I'm flattered...my head is so big right now I'm quite sure my hat will NEVER blow off in a wind storm!

can someone direct me to this story please? = )

Nevermind.. I found it. Sorry... I should have looked better before I posted.

Horseshoe....ROFL. To think that Dave thought you were serious....lol. By the way, an Aquarius eh? Well, I guess it takes one to know one....lol!! My date is the 15th Feb -when is yours?

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

louisa, I'm at the other end...Jan 25...or so they told me. (they also told everyone I was gonna be a girl!) (and had everything waiting for me, in PINK!) (I was a humiliated baby, laying there in PINK!) <---but I'm sure I've posted that memory before.

Looks to me now like someone started a CHAPTER 2...hmmm, Irish Molly? Isn't that some kind of drink?

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

ROFL - Hey Horseshoe - this is getting to be even funnier than the Round Robin book!!! The image of you dressed in pink dress with bonnet and pacifier sounds like a good Halloween get-up to me!!! Btw, a pacifier in England is called a dummy, but I didn't dare say that here...lol! I must bookmark your birthday somewhere so that I don't forget it :-) Yes, Irish Molly does sound like a drink. Irish Whiskey comes to mind and Baileys Irish Cream!! I'm half Irish myself so can't knock it - it's all good stuff!!

Must say I never heard of a drink called a Molly. Sounds like something for wimps! This Irish Molly doesn't even drink - except tea, the best tipple in the world. Tea-totallers unite! Actually, I thought a Horseshoe was some kind of pink cocktail. fol de lol de lero!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

HAH! You dawg you! I dee-clare! I dee-clare! Louisa, I ain't worn PINK since my eyes could see color (except for the pink tie someone once bought me...apparently it was "all the rage" at the time). Born pink, laid up in pink, and a full head of red hair to top it off...no fun! And the nurses would come by and see me in my PINK bassinet, in my PINK booties, wrapped in my PINK blanky, and then pinch my cheeks and say "Ohhh, isn't she the cutest!! cootchie cootchie cooo"...and then I had PINK cheeks! Oy vey! (<--doesn't that mean "shucks" or something like that?) Anyway, Molly, no offense was meant by the reference to the drink...I also drink tea...I used to drink what is called Long Island Iced Teas but eventually gave them up. (course now, green tea w/ginseng is still a favorite!) And NO! Horseshoe is NOT a pink cocktail! Lawdy me...cain't get away from it all.

Hey, Horseshoe, of course I'm not offended - it's just that that you couldn't hear me smile. I haven't got the hang of making those little smiley-face things yet. And I really need one, at that picture of the red head atop the pink dress. Have you added your bit to the story yet? It should be quite something. Take care.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

I really didn't think you would be offended! Now I'm gonna have nightmares again thinking of my PINK world of long ago. Nope, have not added to the story...have been having too much fun reading it!!

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Aw c'mon Horseshoe you have to add your paragraph to the round robin........with your sense of humour you can't afford not to deprive us of your input ....:-)

Here! Here! I couldn't agree more, let's give it up for HORSESHOE (hands clapping here). Speech, Speech. Yea, you, HORSESHOE. Hey, Poet and didn't know it. LOL

Lyndeborough, NH

There is usually a frog in the middle of a real Horseshoe..

Byron

Are we talking frog-princes here, or throat-frogs, or what? Irish horseshoes must be made differently.

On a real live horse, with a horseshoe on it's foot.

There is a growth on the bottom of the horse's foot called a frog. it is V shaped.

There is 1 per foot per horse. Each one normally surronded by a horseshoe.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Clever, Byron! I even used to have a horse and that went over my head the first time I read it. LOL!

Why, thank you Byron, for that information. But where is the talking Horseshoe's frog? Or are you saying he is not a real horseshoe? I'm going to be very disappointed if you are, because over here we think horseshoes are very lucky, especially if hung upside-down.

Lyndeborough, NH

Lets see, if we take a shoe from a Clydesdale
Placed it on his head, as in the open end near his ears.. H'm the nose might be V shaped.

Hanging a horseshoe, open end up, so the luck doesn't fall out.

Byron

Byron...I'm SO glad you didn't hang that horseshoe around my hips. Thank you, thank you...thank you very much. (louisa, I'm a-gonna keep an eye on Chapter 3...maybe I can get a word in edge-wise!)

Byron, if you hang the horseshoe upside down, the luck rising won't pass out through the roof of the house. Just another way of looking at it, I suppose. I believe that in the States black cats crossing the road mean bad luck, is that so? Over here it's the opposite. Still, I guess we are on opposite sides of the world - well, in a manner of speaking.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Hey Horseshoe - Chapter 3 is still waiting for your exhilirating support and yes, you will be able to get a word in....promise!!! :-)

Lyndeborough, NH

Horseshoe,

I don't know of a horse that big :-,)

You're all so, so funny! Happy, happy, happy day! Sun, blue sky, Byron, Mo, Horseshoe all, all of you - wheee!
