Thought I'd bring this one back to the top in case someone wants to make any additions today.

Good job, tiG. How about all the ones you named, plus heaviest bloomer?
Most Floriferously flamboyant Photo maybe? LOLOL! or something like that!
The judging should be based on the Photography rather than the cultivars or species themselves! Lighting, balance etc. Anyone here a photographer? To help the judges, We need a list of points that usually make a photo a good one!

okay, so final categories are
Best of Brugs
Best of Daturas
Prettiest Container Grown
Best use in Landscape
Just for Fun
Best New Seedling
Best Single Bloom
Best Bloomer
Lifetime Achievement Award.
all but the first two would include Brugs or Dats. right judges?
Bruno, I know what you mean, but sometimes a great picture isn't taken with the best camera, composition and all the rest play a part too. But photography is key here, it's not about which brug is prettiest, it's the picture.
That is why I mentioned best color. Could be the background/green leaves/even white bloom.

Hibiscus, I was thinking that would be considered "Best of" pictures. are we on the same wavelength??
Isn't this just for fun? I know the pictures need to be good ones but if it takes a professional turn I'm afraid it will leave a lot of us out with our cheap little digital cameras.
yes!!!!!!! that's what I was saying above.
How about the biggest plant with no blooms, lol!!
oh PJ, say it ain't so!!! surely you have tons of buds though, right??
Hey, you guys, we will take into consideration that everyone is not a professional photographer, I am NOT!! DH takes all the pics.
and that not everyone has an expensive camera. This is supposed to be fun while also appreciating our pictures. enter enter enter enter
Nevermind!! I didn't realize things are still the same as last year and my old brain got really confused. So, I removed this post before I felt any more stupid than I already am........sorry if I upset anyone to begin with.

Yes Tig, I do finally have a bunch of small buds on most of those we got from Arlene. And I have about 20 huge buds on the Isabella that bloomed before - but none on all those in my "brug bed" in front. And not a one on my big "yellow" DR!!
