my zinnia seeds are falling off a few at a time, how do i catch them?
zinnia seeds
Hi Debi,
I usually just cut off the flowerhead (that's setting seed) with some of stalk remaining, and put it in a paper bag
(lunch sack size). I let it finish its job of drying, and the seeds fall off into the bag.
Be sure to ID the seeds (on the outside of the bag) and you're good-to-go!
OD :-)
oscarsdotter,
they don't have to be brown before removing them from the plant?
I'm sorry...I do
let them dry (and turn brown)
on the plant as long as possible,
then cut & bag them before the wind carries them away. :-)
'Hope this helps.
thank you oscar
