Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Waaah, I don't have one blooming.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Suz- I was wondering if yours was blooming yet.

Gingerlily, after it is finished blooming, I can cut a piece off for you if you like.

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Lisa, may i have a piece of the rhyzome for postage? unless u have a Alpinia zerumbet, i can trade some with u. TIA

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I have ginger and it has NEVER bloomed, yours is beautiful, nice to know some people can get it to bloom

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Gorgeous! I don't have this variety, but I'll add it to my list of definite desires :~)

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

I thought Butterfly Ginger was only white - Mine has been blooming for about a month.

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

Azalea, i've seen yellow Butterfly ginger too. Elizabeth ginger if not mistaken is similar in cone form with Kahili gingers, if not mistaken. the fragrance is awesome.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Azalea- Hedychiums come in such an array of colors from oranges, yellows, pinks, white and reds.(I think that is why I am so passionate about them, must have every color..lol) The white butterfly ginger is the most common, most fragrant and most hardiest of all the Hedychiums. They are all so lovely.

MaVie- I can save you a piece. However, I don't know how long it will be. I dug this up from my old house and left some of it behind, so I only have a few right now. If I go to where I bought this ginger anytime soon, I will buy another one and divide it up for those who want one.

Pebble, it has a little bit of a fragrance, mostly in the evenings. Not as fragrant as the butterfly though.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

This is a good photo of Elizabeth. It is Stokes Tropical websitehttp://www.stokestropicals.com/ekart/index.asp?cn=plants&cid=311 After looking at my ginger, it doesn't have enough babies to go around. HOWEVER-MEMBERS ONLY: If you are interested in this ginger, I can get it it wholesale for yall at the price of 5.00 for a nice 3 gal. pot (full). Due the size of the plants, I will have to cut them back to send. You will be getting the rhizomes with some foilage on it. This will not hurt it at all. So, for 5 bucks + postage,(I am not making anything off of this) I can get it for you. I don't know when I'll be going to get them, but it will be sometime this month. I can keep yall posted. No need to email me yet, just post here if you want one. I'll try my best to do what I can do :-) (notice the price that stokes sells them)

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

I would definitely be interested. Stokes sometimes can be pricey, but I usually wait for their sales.

Saucier, MS(Zone 8b)

JustmeLisa,

I wouuld love to get in on this.
This company wouldn't by chance
have the Blue Ginger?? Please
let Me know when, how much & where
to send the money for the E. Ginger. Thanks forthe time & trouble you are going to.

Honeybee

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Count me in for this too!

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

HoneyBee-I sure wish they did, but no :-( I'd love to have one too. The place where I am getting the gingers from is a place we buy our stock when landscaping jobs come up. I don't make the trek there until we need plants(about 95 miles one way). Right now landscaping is a little slow due to our wonderful august heat. Worst month to plant for us, unless it is palms..lol.

Surry, VA(Zone 7b)

Lisa, please put me on the list if it is possible to do so. I am only home for the holiday weekend, but I can mail out a check on Tuesday. I don't mind sending a check in advance since I will be working out of town. Just let me know if this is ok with you. Thanks, Carol

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Hi Carol, ok, I have you down. You don't need to send any money yet because I don't know when I'll be going. I'd rather wait until they are in my hands before I ask for money for them, just in case they run out before I get there. I called yesterday a.m. for availability and they had plenty left. However, I don't know for how long. They are usually 7.95 per pot and they are selling them for only 5 bucks, trying to move them fast. So I'd rather wait, besides, I don't know how much they will weigh for shipping. I am sure postage will be no more 3.50.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Oh! BTW, this ginger can be used up to zone 7!

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

justmeLisa - I would like to be able to get in on this if you are still gonna do it. I have a small one, but would love to get some more. Thanks, Dee

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

me too please!!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I want one(or two).

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

WOW, grab whatever is on the "sales" tables and I'll send you a "blank" check :~) Just kidding! If you see any other great deals that will survive "up North" (zone 7-MD), please keep me in mind. I can only drool over Stokes' website & printed catalogue. It's the next best thing to actually having the plants in ones garden.

THANKS :~)

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)
