Frustrated photographer!

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

I took a day to go into the woods and hillsides to photograph wild flowers and plants. I was absolutely thrilled that I found over a hundred different flowers in bloom and got some really great shots. Got home to upload into computer and when I went to click "get photos from Camera" I clicked delete photos instead!

I will probably think this funny someday....but today it just makes me feel sooooo DUMB!

Oh, Zany -- I can relate!! I took a bunch of pictures with that digital camera we borrowed; I used the review mode so I could look at each shot and choose at the time whether to save or delete, only I accidently got the command buttons mixed up and deleted all of them I thought I was saving!

My all-time regret is the time we went to the Paul Bunyon Show in Ohio and I took a roll of pictures I *knew* were excellent. In my mind's eye I can still see the little boy in his brown Carhart's, his blonde hair backlit and ringing his head like a halo, his blue eyes gazing up at the balloon he held in his hand.

Good thing it's so vivid in my mind; when I went to put in a fresh roll of film, I saw the cavernous inside of my camera and realized there was no film in it. My husband still teases about this, so you can imagine his amusement when I accidently deleted all those great digital shots!!

Oh Zany, I can imagine how upset you are. I am so sorry you hit delete and won't get to share any of those great pictures with us.

I still haven't decided which camera to buy. But I think that when I finally get one, I will paint the delete button red or some color different from every other button on the camera. I am sure if I don't that I will be deleting shots all the time.

You will just have to make another trip to the woods with your camera.

OH!!!! you poor thing!!!!! Anyone could do this easy!
I had someone say I could have unlimited pics as long as I delete and add others . Does this make sense? NOT! No of course not. I thought for a micro second well maybe?
Now if I could only figure out how do delete the images off the new camera, now that they are on the computer. My new digital camera is the Poloroid PDC 700. A whole new ball game . Lots more features I know nothing about!

Well, Michelle, since you were so great with the other camera I am positive you will master this one in no time and we will be seeing your wonderful photos with your new camera soon!

The worst part about having deletedd all thos pics is that my camera has a lock option that would have prevented this if I had just had enough horse sense to use it!

Zanymuse, my DH did this with an "analog" camera when our second son was born. Snapped lots of pictures, got us home, and started wondering why he hadn't run out of film yet (an older 35mm camera didn't let you see the film roll, so there was no way of knowing until you were up to picture #42, and you KNEW you shouldn't have more than 36 exposures.)

The man who NEVER cries CRIED when he realized what had happened. Wanted to take us back to the hospital and at least get pics of us leaving. I declined his offer, LOL! Now we just tease our son, and tell him he was definitely a middle child, right from the start. Thankfully he has a good sense of humor, and laughs along with us, and knows we love him a lot.

So if it makes you feel any better, we've have "lost" pictures that truly can never be re-created (We AIN'T going through the birthing process again, just to record it for posterity!) and life does go on.....but you certainly have my sympathies!!!!!

go_vols, Roflol! I thought it would be hard to find all those flowers again but I am with you on the birth not to be repeated! Your story cheered me up. Your son has,I am certain, recieved a lot more fun out of this family story than he would have from the missed photos!
