Hi,
I bought some seeds at the garden store this year that I didn't get planted. I was wondering if they will still be good to plant next spring, or are they only good the year you buy them?
Thanks for any help!

Seed 'shelf life'??
Abi,
Although there are exceptions, you shouldn't have much trouble if you just keep them in a cool, dry place until next season.
What sort of seeds are you talking about?
Hi Brook,
Thanks for the help! I have a few different varieties of Delphinium, shasta daisy and gloriosa daisy.
I also have an experiment I bought...a container of 'Poppy Patch', which is a combination of fertilizer mulch and poppy seed (it looks kind of like hamster food!).
Although I'm slightly embarrassed to admit buying this stuff in here...you all sound like experts in cultivating your own seeds AND getting them to grow. I'm lucky if I can get one in 50 of the seeds I plant to grow...haha. BUT...I'm persistant. I keep on trying! ;) I had better luck this year. I got about 10 lupine's out of the probably 100 (different kinds..not all lupine) seeds that I attempted to start. And the funny part is those ten started to grow after I got frustrated and decided to give up on seeds. I hadn't got around to throwing away my little collection of seed attempts, but I did stop watering and caring for them. After a week or so I noticed that some had sprouted! A friend told me that probably meant I was over-watering. So....maybe lesson learned...time will tell...hehe. :)
Anyway, thanks very much for the answer!
Abi :)
