Hi Dale - I love your caladiums. It looks like these are planted in full sun, right? I think I am looking to put some in some sunny spots.

It depends upon the variety, floridabunnie. Some caladiums do fine in sun, and others just can't take it here in Florida. Miss Muffett is a good one for sun, but I bought it along with one that we think is called White Queen (first pic), and the White Queen needs nearly full shade to look good. It wilts as soon as the sun hits it no matter how much I water it, and the leaves get scorched. Candidum is a good white one that seems fairly adaptable, but its leaves are smaller in the sun. My Caroline Whartons are mostly green in shade and get pinker in partial sun.
The Thai hybrids need filtered sun at most. Mine are in the good shade of a big oak tree.

Dyzzy - Thanks for the pics and the info, I will look for the miss muffet. I think these are the ones I had before the armadillo struck and dug up all of my bulbs!
My Florida Sweetheart, Red Flash, and Carolyn Whorton have all done well in the Florida sun.
