My 100 yr. old oak tree was struck by lightening and I had to have it cut down. It had quite a few burls on it. I would hate for them to go to waste, if someone could use them. They must be hard to find. What I would like is to do a trade: I have cut off one small burl. There are a few larger ones. Would like to find someone who could cut off and use the other burls, in trade for making something out of my small one. It was my grandmother's tree and I would like to have a keepsake of it. it shaded her, now my, house for many many years. I live in the Atlanta, GA area.
