If anyone else has taken a Master Gardeners program? I completed my training in October and I am now doing my vol. hours. I am wanting to do some work at an old folks home and looking for ideas on raised beds etc...any thoughts would be helpful. Lisa
Just wondering

Hi Kim, thanks for asking. No, we couldn't take the classes on line. The classes are offered through the Cooperative extension's office. In my case it was from Louisiana State University. It is a non credit course. The cost was 70.00. The book they give you for the class(you keep it) is well worth it. It has so much valuable info. You attened the required amount of hours. In my case I think it was 80. And after that you have to do a minimum of 40 hours volunteer work. Like communtiy gardens, nursing homes, etc.. I thought it was an excellent program. Lots of fun meeting fellow gardeners. Lisa
