What is drought tolerant?

Due to the extreme arid conditions that many of us are experiencing this season, a list of drought tolerant shrubs and trees would be welcome. Please give your suggestions and tips for growing these plants.

After at least 2 years in the ground- Buddleia, Cornus alba, Euonymus, Ilex cornuta, Ilex crenata, Lavatera, Spirea, Weigela.
