propagating phlox

have several nice named phlox, how can I make new starts without dividing?

Tig, new growth cuttings are easy. It's a bit late to root them now, but if you cut them back after flowering you may be able to root some. I take cuttings in spring when they are about 4 inches tall. That's the best time. You can also dig down beside the plant, get a nice root and lay it on it's side horizontally in a pot of soil and it will make a new plant. you can stick it in vertically if you can remember which end goes up, lol.

Tig, I have rooted Per. Phlox in the Fall. Just put a little root tone on them and stick then and cover and they
should take. I leave my overwinter in a cold greenhouse.
