Patty, I am so glad you posted this. It has been on my mind a lot, I kinda' wanted to say the same thing. DG is a site with class and I hope everyone can rise above all the bad stuff and get on with the good stuff...like gardening! I think we should all put on our best and show the new folks who come in to visit that this is not a Spike bashing site, just the really great site that it is. Some of the other sites I have visited, I've left so quick I don't think my "cookies" even left a trail. The language was horrible and the GW/Spike bashing made the site look like it was just a bunch of trouble makers who got the boot, which is not what this site is! So folks, please lets put on our best and really shine! That is the best way we can support Dave, which is something we all want to do!!!Right?

I agree 100%. A lot of people are and will be looking at this site and we don't want them to think we are a bunch that gripes endlessly, kicks a man when he is down, etc. Ok, we all know what happened at GW, at least we all have a general idea. We don't need the specifics unless we are serving on a jury. So, let's get on with trading plants and seeds, planning next year's garden, tending our livestock, living in the present and planning for the future; after all we are going to spend the rest of our lives there. Lets agree to lighten up a bit, and make this a really positive place that makes people feel like they are glad they visited here.

I second that. I have been in here two days and was shocked to see the same stuff going on here, that is going at another site I visit.

Hey Dave, you need a Spike bashing room where anyone who wants to, can go in, shut the door and vent until it is out of their system.

I agree, too much Spike bashing. Spike/Disney subject is getting old, and all the bashing is turning DG into a 'let all bash SPike' chat room. IMHO.

I pointed someone to DG a few days ago, and the reply was 'too much bad mouthing is going on there...I'll try it again at a later date.' I have been telling traders that DG has the friendliest gardeners around, after receiving the reply, I'm afraid to send someone here.

That's my 2cents worth on the subject.

I can't agree more. We've all said our piece, now lets let sleeping dogs lie. The man needs our prayers more than anything else. I personally believe he is going thru some really bad times that have affected his whole outlook on life, people, etc. All this anger and negativity will do more harm to each person harboring it than it ever will to Spike. It triggers excessive acids and bad hormones in the body that literally make one sick. So lets pray for blessings, favor with all who he must deal with, and peace in his spirit for him and keep ourselves healthy at the same time.

Freedom of speach comes with a price .....it may irritate people and ruffle feathers on occasion . I'll take freedom of speach over ANY TYPE of censorship ANYDAY . Rock On Dave !!!

I feel the same way - I forgave Spike, now just feel sorry for him. If we met him without knowing who he was, we'd probably think he was a nice guy.
