I'm collecting seed from the Zulu Prince Daisy variety and have noticed something different. Most of them are a brown color but maybe 10% are black. Anybody know why a few of the seeds are black? Does it matter? I've noticed on some sunflowers, there is some variety in seed color. I don't grow many flowers so just curious.

I havent seen the black ones. the seeds I collected in the past never grew so I now sow bought seed every year

Thanks for responding Mark. Was there any variation in seed color of your purchased seed perhaps?
