Thanks Dave for the journal. Now I won't have to dig through all those scraps of paper in the shed I used to keep info on.
Journal !!

I hope you guys all like the journal. Indeed, it was a lot of work. I spent about the past 2 months thinking, planning, and programming it. Wow. My brain was about 2 seconds from becoming mush yesterday, when I pretty much finished it.
I was wildly relieved today when I actually launched the beast. I know I'll be putting it to very good use this year!!
There are more features coming, too. Right now the work that has been done is the hard part - getting it to be able to actually insert content into the database.
Next step is the fun part - making ways to get to the data that you insert. At the end of the year, you'll be able to browse back through your crops easily and quickly.
TODO items with a future date will send you E-mail reminders, etc.
Also, I'm working on a printable journal that you can print out in the morning. Then you can carry the clipboard through the garden, take notes and pictures, and then come back to the computer that evening and input all the data.
What's also great, is that this data is in a permanent archivable form, so it is always there.
Fun Fun Fun!
