oh:( my gorgeous 4' tall loaded with buds red abutilon broke in the storms we had last night. how do I start new cuttings?? I'm heartbroken it was so pretty and everyone was in love with it.
abutilon
tiG - I've found that they root really easily in sand, or sand mixed with peat. I first did them in the pop bottle with lower heat. Then I just did them in the sand no heat. I don't think they need the heat - you probably have it anyway.
you can say that again!!! LOL!! hope they will take without rootone, I was using mine outside and left out in the rain! :( good thing it was almost empty anyway.
You can also easily root them in reg potting soil too. They are pretty easy.
Tig - had to tell you before I forget - the little red Albutilon cutting you gave me has a couple of tiny green spots coming where the leaves should come - I hope yours are doing well too! Thanks again
woohoo!!! that makes me happy!!! it will grow fast!
I like using vermiculite to root abutilon cuttings.
I agree, it seems to work great for me.
