This is a little late,but I thought some of you who were close might like to join me.

The American Quilter's Society is having their annual contest and show April 25th thru April 28th in Paducah , KY.

I know lots of gardeners who are Quilters and besides this sort of goes with home and crafts.I thought some of you might find this of intrest.

It is a little late for room reservations as they are booking in Nashville,TN and St.Louis MO as of this week.
If you come this year,It'll have to be a day trip.Paducah is expecting about 175,00 visitors from all over the world next week.I will post earlier next year.They were booking 60 miles out about the first of Jan and as I was a new member at that time,I didn't know you all well enough for an 'invite'.

Anyway there will be about 400 full sized quilts and an even larger number of smaller ones.None of which would I dare to put on a bed. These are art.Many crafts vendors will set up---these sell supplies,not finished work.You can buy antique linnens to computer programs.Anyway,It is a wondreful trip and if anyone is intrested,I'll meet them and show them around.

Paducah is 3 1/2 hours from St. Louis,4 hours from Knoxville(hear that Trish!)3 1/2 hours from Memphis,3 hours from Louisville. All are quite doable for a day trip.

I will be attending on Saturday as that is the day that my Mom isn't working as a guide there and we will give you a great 'insiders' look at the goings on.
I'll be happy to get a group together,or just one person.
