21 Gun Salute

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

We attended the Memorial Day services at our local cemetary yesterday. The VFW provided roses to the widows, the Boy Scouts placed flags on the graves, and the all volunteer 100 piece high school band along with their men's & ladies' vocal quartets provided music. The band played their traditional medley of service hymns/songs, and as each branches melodies played, the vets of those services stood and saluted the flag. I am again humbled and honored to be in the presence of such greatness. The top two trumpet players from the band again played taps as the USMC Reservists rang the 21 Gun Salute.

Thank you, and many blessings to our vets, past, present and future.
