Are the blooms really red? I have one of the newer ones called Radiant. The bottoms of the leaf is red and the blooms is supposed to be deeper pink. Time will tell. My turn to whine.......would love a start if you get it. Glory, now she has two of us spending her money. :-) Gosh, I didn't know it was so easy to shop from this chair.
I was a bad boy today...
Shirley,
Isn't this great...don't even have to get dressed to go shopping. LOL
Yes, it really is red, like the red passiflora, red, red.
You guys are just not making this easy. But then you know, that could be my excuse, no one else had it and they all wanted a piece. I just couldn't let them down now could I?? Think that will work if I practice a bit on it????
Dee,
sounds good to me. LOL
Maybe you could ask one of the kids who works there if you could take a little piece of it home to see if your hubby would let you buy it. Get my meaning? Where is Cala when you need her.......she has great places to slip cuttings and make her getaway.......at least that is what I've heard.
Brugie, the problem with that is I already showed it to him, he just rolled his eyes muttered something under his breath and walked off. He wasn't too impressed, but then he thinks its all just weeds anyway, lol
Brugie, didn't mean to ignore your question, no it isn't the radiant one, I have it and the white and yellow. No, this is defiantly red.

Hey, at least he didn't say "NO!!" Must mean he could deal with it. Nice guy. Tell him we would all really appreciate his generosity. :-)
Really, he doesn't mind when I by plants, he just doesn't appreciate the finer things in life. Ya know, if he gets something at the race track, then I have my excuse, but then I am going to have to think of an excuse for what I buy in CA. Well, that gives me 2 weeks to think on it. If you guys come up with something let me know. Then I can be prepared, with several backups.
Dee, seems like he has his hobby, just tell him you're spending an equal amount on yours.
Well now, there is a problem with that, I spend more than my fair share. I got it. I can make him cookies and stuff, he has a sweet tooth, and just loves the holiday baking, you know, cookie little boy???
Gosh, what we won't go through for a plant!! :-)
OK you guys, I went and did it. I bought this thing. I took a picture of it on the digital camera. Now that is the extent of how I know what to do. Can someone tell me how to upload this picture on here. DH is not home and he usually does it, and even if he was, I really couldn't ask him since I don't want him to notice it yet.
I can just see the kitchen counter full of chocolate chips and pies and cakes......you are going to be pretty tired by night time. :-)
Dee,
I can show you but I don't believe I can explain it to you....can someone help Dee.
It seems like we might need to start sending that guy our best cookies. Soften him up and make him want to be nice to the garden ladies?
Hey,
I don't have a plant addiction. I just buy everything I see with out guilt at all. At 47, my kids are married, I've been divorced for 8 years, have no pets. I finally have the freedom to do what I want with MY money. I can now think of me and what I want. And I want plants!
I'm proud to say that last week I went to a private plant sale and spend $275.00 on the following plants....
4 adenium obesum; one of which has variegated leaves :-)
1 huge variegated gardenia in a 5 gal container
1 Dichidia ruskifolia
1 Vanilla orchid on a totem
1 Myrmecodia echinata
1 Croton King of Siam (this is so beautiful)
1 Monstrera Deliciosa Jean Merkel
I went to a private sale the week before also...but what I bought is kinda fussy now. I can't remember what I bought. My check register shows I wrote a check for $115.00. But can't even remember writing the check. Oh, well I know I got some good stuff for those $115.00!!! That's what counts.
So as you can see I DO NOT have a problem....
Happy in my garden

Hi I'm Evert, and a seed addict. I keep getting and buying seeds but hardly ever get sowing them... Anybody want my extra ones? =)
Hi, I`m Busybee and I also love my flowers. I have a Husband that loves them also. He helps me all that he can. I haven`t tried to but anything real expensive but If he thought that I really wanted it He would buy it for me. I am not bragging in any way but I have never been able to buy flowers when the kids were home. They always came first so did my husband, now it is just us and he works all day and I play in the yard. I love to trade. A lot of the flowers that I have came from a trade. A lady that I know had a nursery and wanted to sell out and try something else and when I told her that I had closed the doors on my second hand business because of teenagers breaking in and destroying a lot of the glass items, she suggested a trade. I couldn`t have been happier and have been planting ever since. I wonder myself how I could be looking for anything else, but I am. Jusy can`t help it. Sure glad I have a huge yard.
Hi! I'm Ponditis and I am a plant addict. It all started a few years ago when I got tired of living in a house that had a well that couldn't support flower gardens. I bought a water lily and now this thing is out of control! I now have lots of pond plants and we had to buy acreage with a large pond to support that habit and now we have built another large pond so I can expand. Then the hostas came and the heucheras and then the brugs. Oh my, now come the ferns... well you get what I mean. And then I found a place called Dave's Garden that feeds that addiction with trades and giveaways and who has time for anything else? LOL Yes I have it bad... Lani
