Help with wicker!

I just bought wicker furniture for my covered front porch. It will get some (just a little)rain/wetness/moisture. Does anyone know if I should treat it with something? Like polyurethene, or some other kind of treatment. I would hate to have it get wet and moldy or something. Any help here?
