WOW!!! I just got a dream package from Donna in socal. The first thing I saw when I opened my package was a big Tropicana canna leaf!!!!! This was right up there at the top of my wish list. Then to put icing on the cake, I also received :

I got my trade from silly-girl yesterday. It was packed full of good stuff! All but the sedum were new to my garden! Not bad considering I didn't have a want list posted. I got a red canna, Autumn Joy sedum, double orange daylily, Monkey Grass (What is this???), hosta, coleus, hens & chicks, lemon mint, hibiscus variety(not sure this is a hibiscus though, we'll see when it blooms), and trumpet creeper, plus a whole ton of seeds, both annuals & perennials, great stuff. Thank you, thank you to silly-girl! as well as to tiG.

Yippee, I got mine too!!! What a "BIG" surprise, and I do mean "BIG". It was so big, it didn't fit in my mailbox and I just found it today at my front door. It was from my buddy and friend Monica - "Countrybumpkin". I couldn't believe all she put in this collection!! Get this:
A small Purple plum tree, large clump of variegeted Solomans's Seal (on my wish list), Yellow Tail Cannas, 2 Sweet Autumn Clamatis, 2 Black eyed Susan Vines (I have tried unsucessfuly twice to raise these from seeds), Royal Standard Hosta, small un-named hosta,Purple dwarf Iris, Obedient plant, Pink Yarrow,Acuba, Gopher Purge??, Zabrina Hollyhock, some mini daisies she called "mystery plant!! And a cute little wooden flower nick-nack!

She did a super job packing them too, not one was damaged. I will be busy most of the day tomottow planting all of them. Thanks again CB, ya done good!!

I'm certain there will be a fall secret trade, seems everyone was very happy with this one. Lots of packages went out fri and sat I think, so stay tuned, I think more people will be bragging about what they got!

Wow!!! My mail lady just delivered my box! I got something very very special!
acidanthera and hyacinth bulbs
dianthus 'strawberry parfait'
BUT... the best part of the box were the beautiful gifts. All wrapped in pretty paper and tied with bows. debi_z sent a nice vase for cut flowers, a hand painted little ceramic flower that says "flower power" on one side and has a pretty sun face on the other. AND sent a hand painted bird feeder that says "jody's" and little signs and a welcome mat on it! It is absolutely adorable!!! Ya'll gotta see it! I love them all!!! I'll take a pic and post it so ya'll can see it.

Oh!!!!No.. is what I said when I found these other beautiful plants underneath all the peanuts in the box. I just found:

Hi all I got my box today and what a great box! Thanks MsJen! I recieved tibouchina, saint josephs lily, I have been searching for that thanks, montbretia, english dogwood, ginger, butterfly weed, calla lily yeah lost mine,
rose, and shrimp plant. Thanks so much for all the great plants and a new way to tie my trades, I never thought of twine. Im always looking for bread ties, and that postal tape drives me nuts. LOL Thanks tiG for putting this all together. Shannan

Got mine today!!!Thank you DeeinFl!! I got 2 daylilies, mexican flame, St Vincent vine, chocolate vine (she knew! I wanted this), onion plant, balloon flower, cinnamon basil that smells wonderful, solanum Wendlandii purple. Have them potted up, still looking some of them up:)

I just found out! Morph was my secret trader! I came home and had ANOTHER package. This one contained baby blue Iris and a giant elephant ear! I love all the plants I received and think this is such a great thing, we should do it again soon. I still have plenty to send. It's getting down to the last few now isn't it?? I am still waiting on mine to come in...and I'm thinking that with such bad days like I have been having, it is surely to come in soon and cheer me up!!

I'm still waiting too Mollybee. It is all I can do, to NOT tackle the mailman when he comes! LOL It has been cold and raining here and a little rainbow in a box sure sounds nice. :)

My secret trade is in. My secret was none other than the lovely, new to DG, Celia!! She gave better than 'plants', it was her time and blood and sweat and tears!! She sent me some of her green children. I think all but one and maybe that one, are all things she has grown from seed and nurtured through the winter. She also included a copy of the seed packages so I can see who is who! THANKS CECELIA!!!

Don't you know, instead of taking stuff from MY boxes, the postal people add stuff they don't see in my yard! ROTFL
That is what happens when you have five kids! lol The brain gets sucked right out of you. One of these days you will have to make the trip down here and shop in my yard. I am quite a baby anymore and scared to drive on the highway.
