I have around a couple hundred Rosa Rugosa rose bushes.... which means I've got TONS of rose hips every year. I normally save the hips and dry them for making my own tea, and the seeds had always gotten thrown away. Well, now that I'm getting this seed-saving addiction, I was wondering....Are my seeds a good trade for other seeds? Does anyone know how to start these rose bushes from seed or where I can find the info about how to start them from seed for myself? The hips are just full of seeds....it seems a shame to let them go to waste. Thanks for any help!
Need help with my Rosa Rugosa rose bush seeds!
Thanks for the website, Dave! I had no idea there was such a website! I'm going to have to put a link to it from my website so my visitors can go there too. Sounds like growing them from seed is a little too much work for this lazy old bird, but maybe others would have the patience. There's a lot of info on these rose bushes! I'm going to have to try the leaves for tea now too! I already dry the leaves from my grape vines and my strawberry plants and use them for drinking tea....makes a pretty good tea too. Gonna hafta find out now if there's any kinda vitamins in the leaves...hope there are! *S*
