I've been reading some of the other boards, and noticed that there are a few of us Stay at Home Moms on the boards.
I'm thinking that we all need a place talk with others.
You know: a nice fresh cup of coffee, finally getting to sit down with other people who speak plain English, and who _doesn't_ want to sing the ABC song (or watch their favorite cartoon) for the 1,000,000 time!
Anyone with me?
Trish
Moms
Yep. If being an evil stepmother counts. (No, I'm not evil, or a stepmother, but I was informed this morning by DD that I was treating her like Cinderella. Had to explain that making her pick up her OWN stuff is not the same as making her clean up after other people. It was all I could do to keep a straight face until I dropped her off at kindergarten!!!)

Hey, Patty - I'm strict, too. But evil????? Geesh. The third child (and the only daughter) is a hoot and a handful; she articulates her feelings MUCH more than her brothers ever did!

I'm a stay at home mom of 5 boys...one has flown the nest, 3 are in school and daymein and I are home together all day.

*If you ever have a baby and plan to name him Daymein and the movie "The Omen" comes on the night he is born-think about what you are naming him!!!! Im going to shave his head this summer and see if there are any #s on him!
*Day is my maiden name-I wanted to use it in his name-oh my!
He is a doll with horns.! Stories I could tell and he just turned 4!

Some friends named their son "Cain".....go figure!
We used a lot of family names for our kids, and our middle son shares his first name with his Papaw, who is a real ornery stinker. We joke that it must be the name that causes the curse, because they're just alike.

I would LOVE a place to get away. I have 2 boys, 1 is 6 in kindergarten and the other is 3, a real handful at times. I live in a new town & only know the neighbors across the street. (that is why I am here all the time) Julie
Geez, guess I don't belong here, not only do I not stay at home. No kids, unless you want to count nine cats and one fiancee.
I give you guys credit though I don't want your jobs.
puttyrat :-)
Great- now I just need to pester Dave to create a forum for us!!
Trish
hellloooooo Trish, add me to your list of moms here...you know I've been wanting this! Lisa
May I join in? We have 5 teenagers -- 2 girls, 3 boys (the last two are twins), and I work from home.

Count me in, I stay at home with my two little girls, and during the summer I garden, during the winter I plan my garden, read garden books, and leaf through garden catalogs... now I can add that I come here to the grden forums!
Anyone can join in :) It doesn't matter how old your kiddos are. Work at home counts too- I guess you could say that I work from home :)
Trish
I'll join, I need all the moral support you guys are willing to give! My little-un is going through the tantrums at three and half, very frustrating!
Just wanted to salute you SAHMs. I stayed home with my daughter (who is now 26 years old). It wasn't easy then and I know it's even tougher now, unless you are independently wealthy.
Whatever sacrifices you make to stay home, will be paid back many times over when your children are grown!
You Go Ladies!
Paula
Thanks Bloomer, that is so nice of you to say that...sometimes our jobs can seem endless and the sacrifices are many. We are far from monatery wealth. I have everything money CAN'T buy(which is the best!) and little that money can buy..LOL! Pats on the back are few and far between. Thank you, Lisa
Dave has created our new forum, Ladies!!
See you there!!
Trish
