email virus warnings!

(Zone 8a)

As I checked my email tonite (been gone all day) I noticed my email acting weird and finally got thru... Norton caught 2 emails with viruses (thank goodness I just updated yesterday!)

1 st one was Play.exe

2nd one was Hi rstarling, meeting notice... with warning of virus called W32.klez.gen@mm

Anybody know about these? I deleted them!

This is the first time I have ever got warning alerts and it was really scary!

Yep - got 3 of them this week - a real sneaky one, keeps changing the subject!! It will come from someone you may know with an attachment. It doesn't mean that person is infected!!

This is from the Trend micro Pc-cillan site:

Yes, this Klez grabs a random e-mail address from the victim's address book and forges the headers of the e-mail it sends out, making it look like it's from someone else. If you look at the full headers, though, you'll see the originating IP address is that of the FROM address. It's a nasty one.
