Well, I finally managed to start a thread. I'm not sure how I did it, but here it is.
Maybe we can do a daily journal like we use to do on GW FLF. Someone just start it and the rest of us will check in when we can. Ok? We will pick up new people too I'm sure.

Hi Leaflady,
I'm new here also so I guess we'll see how this thread works out. Dave is pretty good about making changes for members so if we can suggest another way for this, I'm sure he'd be happy to change something.
FarmTalk: Sadly my friend had her house burn down from a fireplace fire. Fortunately no one was hurt. The horses were in the lower barn away from the house and they were ok. Anyway, today I went over to help her lug water in pails (the water doesn't work because there is no electric to run the pump)from the neighbor across the road. We filled pails and moved them on a sled to water the farm animals down the barn. After lots of work, my friend and I rested and were watching the chickens. Well, Mr. Rooster thought I was a little too close to his hens..lol.. and he actually attacked me and the dog..lol. I didn't realize how feisty those roosters could be! It's been a long day but thankfully, we have tomorrow :)
