astilbe and one more question

I got 3 Ostrich Plume Astilbe from Van Bourgondien. These cascade rather than being upright and look lovely in the catalog. However, neither their literature nor the plants database here at DG says how deep to plant them. How far below the surface should the eyes be?
Also, when I first log into DG, the page is headed by the statement that there are 66 forums, but I have about 10 less than that showing, including General Discussion. I finally found that if I clicked on forums in the window on the right, I could get here. Why is that?

plants should be no deeper than they are in their pots ie the crown should still be at ground level.

woodspirit1, to answer the second part of your question, you can subscribe to all or some of the forums.

If you don't set your features to watch a specific list of them, you'll see all but a few that are somewhat "miscellaneous" in nature - I can't even tell you for sure which ones they are.

If you want to watch all the forums, then you can go to your Preferences page, click on "Forums" in the left-hand column, then check ALL the boxes.
