licorice....how to propogate

does licorice propogate well or not at all.....and if so, just how do i go about it.....i would like to make some more of the ones i have for some containers....thanks in advance.....cindy

My herb book says, propagates easily from root cuttings. Take 1" pieces of root or crowns. Plant root pieces vertically in good loamy soil.

I purchased seed from Companion plants. They need to be sanded/scarified a bit before planting and should germinate easily. I didn't have GREAT luck with that seed process but I did get a few seedlings.
