can bleeding heart Cuttings be rooted ?

Someone gave me some white bleeding heart cuttings and I'd like to plant them in my yard but I dont know if they can be rooted or how?

my book says divide rhizomes in early spring or early fall so I guess you have to wait 6 months.

Tamlamb: I have heard that they will root easy in water. Remove the lower leaves and stick in vase filled with water. I think I will try to root some this way.
