This year he went to the 11 and 12 year old league. The team with the worse record from the previous year gets the first choice. Michael was the first chosen which I think was a great honor. His team was undefeated and played another team that was also undefeated, both with 6-0 records last night. It was a nail biter and Michael walked the first time at bat and got a single the second at bat. The game was tied at end of regulation at 2-2. He came up in the bottom of the extra inning with men on second and third and hit the ball off the right-center field fence. All the team mobbed him and he was all smiles.(Paw Paw and Granny also)
Last week was Bobbies birthday and he told her he was going to hit her some home runs this year for her birthday present. He came off the field pointing at her saying "I almost gave you that birthday present." Just had to share this great time we had.

You have every right to be proud of that grandson of yours Jim!! He is such a good-looking all round kid!! Takes after his grandpaw I bet!! Tender hearted too :-)
