DITTO!!!

DITTO. ;-)

Seriously - thanks guys for all the encouragement I've gotten in both E-mail and here in the forums. It's all the compensation I could ask for!

Dave

Just a reminder of the Dave that I met a year ago . I wish the site had kept this focus , old buddy . Best to you regardless .

Thanks, Chooch.

In January, I couldn't foresee that our 200 members would soon be well over 4,000.

I also couldn't foresee a $280 bill every month, kids who need to eat, and a Dave who needs to find a way to provide.

Either DG was shut down and I find a fulltime job, or we took this new path. The members are supporting this site, and we are on the way to paying the bills (not there yet, but on the way). Perhaps I may even have money left over to go into our household fund.

Best regards to you anyway,
Dave

I need to know how to get into the chat room...so I can exercise this Freedom of Speech...I clicked on the red..."chat room is open" and it took me to a blank grey screen. "Help" told me that I would see Live chat in a menu on the main screen...but I don't see it. Any help would be greatly appreciated here. Thanks Jo

I love it here too. I'm pretty new, but looking forward to getting to know my new *family* LOL. Thanks to my garden angel, I get to stay! Yippee!!!! Garden Angel - I love you!

Dave and Trish: I love your site and plan to spend many many hours here, (as if I don't already!) Hee Hee!

Chooch, I think the site has kept it's focus, it just outgrew it's humble beginnings and needed bigger clothes. If you were taking 200 of something to market and your crop suddenly grew to 4000 you'd have to make some changes too. Happy growing.

I just want to add that not only has Dave kept up with us through the population explosion, he kept adding nice features to the site at the same time, made sure the lag time didn't get too long and kept most of us happy. It was quite a juggling act at times I'm sure. Great job!! Dave, you get an A+ and a big smiley face (if I just knew how to do that).

I think that Dave has indeed been a "...most excellent WebMaster DOING A MOST EXCELLENT JOB!!!!"

He's also been a most gracious host to his 4,000+ guests. Now that we've eaten him out of house and home, (so to speak), I don't think it's asking too much of us to change over to a "potluck dinner" format. And many of us are gladly bringing a little extra to share with others, which makes it even nicer for everyone :)

Here's to many more months and years of success and phenomenal growth at DG!!!!

And to think....this was just over 7 years ago....and look how many we number now!! Keep on ROCKING BIG DADDY!! I just renewed my subscription...again! Jo
