I had something mixed in with a lot of old daffodils I was thinning, that had wider and more rounded leaf tips. Through the plant identification forum and stopping by a nursery, I discovered that I had dug up Naked Ladies or surprise lilies, anyway lycoris. Because we had 14 inches of snow followed, in a few days, by record low temperatures, I didn't get them planted right away and they sat in a bucket with a little moisture. But they started turning yellow so the other morning, before I went to work, I just opened a wedge in a roadbank and stuck 2 or 3 in and closed the crevice up. That's because I still thought they were some kind of daffodil at that time. Will the lycoris be o.k. there or do I need to move them again?
