Datura Inoxia variegata...

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Plant Delights does not carry Missouri Marble at this time.
This info is from Tony Avent ..who would know!!

Florence, AL(Zone 7a)

Yes, Abutilon, the fellow from Terra Nova said Plant Delights was not as yet carrying it, but if enough of us talked to Tony Avent maybe they would start. Sorry, I didn't make myself clear.
So---does Crystal Palace sell by mail-order? Do we have a retailer in our group here who is willing to make an order from Terra Nova? Or is it time for me to shut up now?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Since my first post about the variegated inoxias I have ended up with six of the little buggers...all have variegated leaves. Nice marbling...next week when the leaves are a little larger I'll take a pic and post it.Maybe I should market these....**THINKIN HARD** yeah thats it!!LOL

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Eclipse,we want pictures(really we want the plants but pictures will do for now)MsBlatt,I think enough of us are interested enough for this to be further investigated!

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

MsBatt ..I talked to Tony this morning. He said he was looking into.
Yes ..additional interest would be good, too.

What is involved to order from Terra Nova? IF I can do ..I will try.
And IF not too huge a minimum. And IF enough interest.

Provide me the details, okay?

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

I just sent Terra Nova an email inquery via Brugie's link. I did not notice first. Sorry.
MsBatt ..did TN say the Missouri Marble is available?

Florence, AL(Zone 7a)

Well, they didn't say it WASN'T, so I assume it was. My e-mail to them asked if they could tell me a retailer that they were currently supplying them to, and they told me to check with Plant Delights, that if enough people were interested he would probably carry them. I took that to mean they did have them available.
And I got a cat. from The Glasshouse Works today---they're offering it for $27.50!

Congrats, Kyle :)
I can unbderstand, why you jump for joy. I remember you earlier described, that the variegated were hard to obtain and most of wouldn`t make it (or was these the albino ones???).

I think, that the tendency towards variegation can be strenghtened by crossing a varieg. to another varieg. and then maybe obtain a higher rate of variegated seedlings :)

These would also cross to D. meteloides and D. wrightii as father or mothers and with D. metel by using D. inoxia as mother (as I recal it). There is also a possibillity to cross to D. leichhardtii and from leichhardtii to the species in section stramonium (stramonium, tatula, bernhardtii, ferox, quercifolia).

I know of a person in France, that is currently working to stabilizing a strain of variegated D. stramonium :)

With his D. starmonium and your D. inoxia stabilized we only have to work to find a way to variegate D. ceratocaula to have the entire genus in bicolored leaves *lol* :)
