Secret Snack Trade Interest?

Hi There!

It’s that time again. I feel an irresistable urge to start another secret snack trade.

Do you have a favorite snack? Something that’s easily made, or can be purchased in a store at a low to moderate cost? Are you willing to send someone their favorite snack? Then you might be interested in the secret snack trade.

Here’s what we’ll do: If everybody interested sends me their information (see below) by March 27, I will match everybody up with another person. Each will receive an email with the other person’s information. Then, let’s all try really hard to have our snacks packaged and mailed by April 10.

DG Name
Mailing Address
Email you check most frequently
Top 3 favorite snacks

Since I know nothing about trading with other countries, if you are not from the US, but are interested, please first check about whether you can mail and receive food items. If you cannot, and I receive interest from more than one person from your country, I’ll match you up as best I can.

Hope your feeling better, I had the yuck stuff a few weeks ago and it was not good.

Mike, I didn't know she had a bug, just thought it was isolated with her. She's pretty miserable today, email her a solution if you found one. Not Papa's remedy, though.

Don't think Pepto would do it, been like this since Tuesday night with no relief at all and to boot, the heartburn is starting back up :(
Needless to say, I have not been online much at all. A few minutes here and there.

Again, if you have any questions or concerns, please post them here for everybody to respond to. Someone asked me if I had a price 'limit' - I don't. What you spend is entirely up to you. No minimum or maximum. This way, there's no pressure from anybody towards anybody else.

Do we send to the same person who gets us? This reminds me of trading sack lunches at school, back in the days after the war when we were just beginning to have more abundant sweets available.

Send to the person she gives you. Then it's a surprise who we get "nummies" from. That 3/4 of the fun. And whoever has me???? THINK CHOCOLATE!!! LOL "T" :)

Okay, I was wondering if the "receive" half was a secret after we knew our "send" part. I don't recall what I said for my preferences, so it will truly be a surprise on this end! Thanks, Sledder.

OK, I'm in tears!! Odin my dog, thought I was upset and won't leave my side - he's hunkered down at my feet trying to take care of me.

The welcoming note and the treats have made me realize what a truly wonderful group of people you all are. So much thought into the package. Thank you so much! I've truly learned a lot more about what this type of exchange can mean!! Bright blessings to all!

To come home from a rough day at work to a caring package and warm thoughts give me a bit more hope in this big world.

One thing that I have learned here over the past several months in this forum is that plant-people make good people.
