I have a long driveway on top of a hill. wind comes from all directions. a portion of driveway is completely exposed. I need a quick grower. I once had a professional move some evergreens i had growing on another part of property(about 5 foot tall) these toppled within 3 days and it was about 3 weeks before i could get him to come back and look.(of course these trees died) I now plant only small trees so they get a chance to anchor.I was thinking of Autumn Olive or something like that. Any suggestions. Its about 150 feet where the drifting is really bad...
windbreak for zone 4
I am also researching regarding windbreaks and found this to be the best site - hope it helps:
