I got so wonderful presents by mail, maybe it was just luck though that they arrived today, heh :)

Evert, how do you celebrate your birthday?
In our family, the children get to pick what they want for dinner, (or we go out) usually something that we dont have every day. then we have cake and open presents. this is the "family" celebration, then usually they have a party with their friends and then another party with relatives, My daughter had a birthday in january, and it seemed to go on forever....party after party after party.....

Hmm... when I was a kid, I got some cake and things to my bed in the morning, and flowers of course.. then I had a kid' party and other party with relatives. When kids are here about 12 they no more want to keep children's parties, dunno why... ANyway, me neither. We just went swimming to Serena (biggest water park in europe, here in Espoo), last year, this year nothing special.. Got some money from my grandparents, some flowers and so. It is just ok to me. :]

By the way, I will get my first bank card soon - Visa Electron, yippee....

Hi, Evert: As I told you, we're celebrating my son's birthday today, as well...but he's 36!...and he still gets cake! Glad your seeds arrived in time for your birthday! Hope they grow well for you!

On this great occasion,i am thinking of the wonderful Finnish stamps,Euro coins and seeds which you sent to me. happy to tell you the garden poppy flowers are growing well.and i expect they will be blooming in a month.

Well,after some days' disconnection,i've finally come back again.how happy!
The garden poppies which you sent the seeds to me---i sowed them in my little garden last late fall.they will be in blooming this late spring.in my area,the climate of the seasons are very clear--spring,warm;summer,hot;fall,cool;winter,cold.we cultivate the poppy as a biennial.

jahhå... Hmm, not sure what poppies you mean but they can be the Papaver lapponicum. It is a perennial species, I think. With orange flowers.
