Oh, i know what thats like, and i am going to have that problem again realsoon, this pc belongs to the ex, and she wants it back, and my new one is delayed, i am just hoping to put as smaller time in bewteen as possible,pc withdrawal is painfull, but she knows we will patiently await here return.

daisey, you dont need to have trees to attract birds, just hand a bird feeder or two, they soon come for them, and yes, i know all about nieghbours gardens, the bottom of one side is a rat hole, really bad, but, they do mow the lawn this end, but thats it, so i have the problem of couch grass and bind weed coming from there side, it never ending becaise they do nothing about it, annoying it is.

hello Patty, how are you, dont you get that pain the **** there then,i wish it wasnt here, i spend a lot of time and effort to keep it a bay, but i have to do it three or four times a year, never ending, just because of the lot next door, sounds nice there too, are you in a green belt there ?.

[ Removed per member request. - Admin]

Hi everyone! Louisa's lucky to get some gardening done. The weather here today is damp and bitterly cold. No gardening today and my paths need a good clean. My lawn looks odd - that lawn stuff has made it go sort-of-green with dark patches. I believe it is supposed to look worse before it looks better and it definitely looks worse. I think I have more moss than lawn now. I could really do with ripping it all up as well but can't afford it at the moment. I wish I had a DG friend living a bit nearer me - it would be nice to meet up with some of you. I'm sorry for Lisa. My puter's playing up as well. The mouse keeps dying on me. I have some assignments to do and hand in, will think about doing them at the uni. I'm hoping to go for an interview there soon following on from my application. I intend having a couple of hours with that great fat book later this evening again!
I took my flowers to my Dad as usual today. His grave has now been grassed over, which is good. I've looked out a camera and when I get a nice day I'll get a really nice bouquet and take a snapshot or two. I went for a long walk after I'd taken the flowers as I was feeling a bit sad. Once I've taken the photograph I won't be there so often. It's another stage in the moving-on process.
While I was out I heard this lovely trilling sound just above my head. I looked and there must have been about 50 waxwings in one of the trees. They didn't stay long which was a shame. They have very musical voices.
Well, I'll go and make some tea for myself. Will look in a bit later. Bye for now!

Yep, thats it for me too, Daisey, what put you in a bad mood, see you later, bye for now.

It's almost 4 oclock in the afternoon. The weather man got it wrong - again!! Never did get to Monticello after all. It became very windy and the sky looked ominous. The 65F started to dip quite rapidly. So did the shopping, came home and cooked porch chops, mashed potatoes, brocolli and mixed veg. (No pudding - it's Lent). Cut my hubbie's hair, had a nice chat with my daughter in Germany who is expecting her first baby after an awful and horrifying experience. I hope she pulls through this time. Came on here to find the room void of company. So I'm here and I'm going and will check back again later :-)

Is there anyone out there??????????????????

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Hi Daisy - Just for about 10 mins then going to make a cuppa char.

Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom

Do you have to put your clocks back or forward tonight? Ours go forward 1 hour which means less sleep tonight, and i'll look rougher than i usually do in the morning!

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Hi Daisy. No we don't touch our clocks for another week or so I believe. I never know until it's tight on top of me. Do we really lose an hour. Not that it matters to me much since I don't go out to work but the cats will still get us up. What did you do today - hope it was more exciting than my day which hopes never materialized because of the change in the weather. What - no Alan tonight? Wow - must have a heavy date :-) But he does have a cold, so I hope he's OK

Well i've had a bit of an up and down day today. This morning was fine, very productive even if it wasn't in the garden! Then this afternoon, well thats another story. Don't know if you knew but i was being dragged to a choir concert that my fatherinlaw was performing in. Lets just say i ran out of excuses, so ended up having to go.
I ate humble pie when i got home! It was fabulous. The most exhilarating, upliftting performance i have ever witnessed. I am now thourouly ashamed of my negative feelings before hand. After the first song, i had to choke back the tears...breathtaking.
Oh, and i won first prize on the raffle, a large bottle of Harveys Bristol Cream.I wish i could share it with you all. AAAAANNNDDD my little girl one the local compertition to draw an easter picture (shes only 3). The egg she one is nearly as big as her!!
Looking back on the day suppose it wasn't too bad.

hi patty, as days go, not bad. But then it could have been better. A bit of gardening incorperated into it would have turned it into a FAB DAY!!

Alan, she was soooo excited, she's never had an egg that large before, i didn't have the heart not to let her eat it. She's munched her way through most of the egg and i'm sure tomorrow will see the demise of the large packet of Multeesers that came in with it.

The picture she did was lovely. I drew her an egg shape and she decided to turn it into "Mr Egg Man", so cool. I know im going a little over board but i'm so proud. I'll see if i can get it up onto the photo foram next week!

Hi, patty, hows things,

Daisey, lap it up girl, they dont stay that young for long.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

So good to hear that you had such a wonderful day Daisy. Nice things happen when they are least expected. Hi Patty and Alan. Yes, I heard about Lisa - we are going to miss her. Patty, I will be able to get seeds also from Jefferson's home. We also have Madison and some other president, will think of it in a minute! Ah yes, Monroe I think.

Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom

She's 3. Only the one at the moment, but getting rather alot of earache from hubbies family about having another! No chance! at the moment that is. An she's georgous. White blond hair thats finally growing after 3 years! Shes got the sweetest nature. Were only having one problem and thats toilet training, soooo many accidents, but i have to be patient as it could be linked to a little hernia she has. Well they THINK its a hernia! Comforting that!

Thats a top idea. I'll call my brother in the morning and use his scanner!! I'll let you know when theyre up.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better Alan. Daisy, I hope your little girl hasn't got a hernia, poor thing. Does she get pain at all?

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

It's like a chat room here, ain't it?

We need a chat room, just for us, i dont think any of the other forums are as a sociable little group as us, like it, what good company we all must be, we keep coming back for more.

Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom

That's what first brought it to my attention. She kept saying her tummy hurt, we were playing doctors and nurses and thats when i felt the lump. I took her to the doc, who said he was sure it was a small hernia and it would heal its self. But just as a precortion he refered her to a consultant at the hostpital. 8 months they expect her to wait to be seen. 8 months to find out what it is!
So i wrote to doc and told him that was unacceptable, he wrote back 2 weeks later trying to faf his was out of it, and said "most lumps (yes lumps) along the midrif turn out to be benine" !!!! So it's gone from a hernia, to a benine lump!!
I'm having kittens, i can think of nothing else (apart fromDG)Were waiting to see if the consultant will see her sooner.
