My Weekend

I had a garage sale this weekend, Saturday only. I sold a bunch of junk that we didn't want anymore, and made $130!

Additionally, while out putting signs for the sale, I found new seeds. I got a big tuft of seeds from a 10' tall Bamboo plant. Also, I got about 40 seed pods of some mystery tree that I still have yet to identify.

My wife and I had a long and philosophical discussion about technology and its impact on the lives of children today. It was an energetic, enthusiastic, and enlightening exchange.

Speaking of technology: The Simpsons (the reason I own a TV) comes on in 45 minutes, and I'm happy as a clam!

How was everyone else's weekend?

Enjoyed a great day with daughter Susie and grandson Jack yestesday. He smiles all the time now, and makes really interesting faces. He almost has the 'fish mouth' look down pat. Maybe in a few more weeks. Today, I went to a baby shower in Sevierville - about 60 people were there and brought tons and tons of gifts for my pal Londa's baby.

While I was at Susie's, son-in-law Mark offered me as many purple morning glory seeds as I wanted. So I helped myself. If anyone wants some, email me. Even tho I must have 200+ packages of seeds, I'd still like more in trade. When is enough, enough? Does anyone know?

GrannyLois: We have a trade already setup - have you sent your's yet? If not, can you throw in some morning glory seeds? As you know, I am a MG FANATIC!!! I can't get enough!

Dave, I haven't sent off your squash seeds yet. I can add some purple/pink morning glories. They were really pretty this summer.
My weekend was great. I tried to study for school for about 15 whole minutes. Watched a few old movies and got to see my daughter trying to crawl for the first time (5 1/2 months old). My son also carved his pumpkin, so now have orange and white pumpkin seeds that are drying. Anybody want any?
I worked on cleaning seeds that have been neglected on my desk since I started working again. I will be adding more shortly. Hope everyone else has had a great weekend.

I was digging,digging,digging...
I am digging sod up around a 150' row of leland cypress tress. Almost done, I am planting hostas infront/inbetween all of the trees, Of course I only have enough hosta for about 1/4 of the row length, but someday...

I dug and dug and weed and weed, just starting to build a flower bed (4'X12'). You know you are a Florida gardener when you bought $50 in supplies (soil and additives) just to grow a few flowers!

Anyone out there want clay? I have plenty!! LOL
