grrr computer the saga continue first I had 1 now I have two sites lol

Dave & the others I think some guy at LYCOS/TRIPOD got into the green beer early lol. This is what they put up after the weekend of feeling so lousy. I have a gardening friend that the same thing happened to him the only thing is he didn't save any of it and it might be gone forever....at least now I don't feel like a criminal.

Here is the letter I got from my friend

I haven't got any new info. They shut him down without warning on Friday night or Saturday. He has no ideas on what rules he wasn't complying with. The timing seems the same, it's ben down just a couple days. I just got home from work and there are no new emails in response to his inquiries. If you hear anything, please let us know, and I'll do the same. He's really disappointed, as he'll never get the pages back the way they were. He worked VERY hard and long on them! It doesn't seem right that they can do this without warning or a chance to fix the wrong.

See I am not the only one who feels this way the way the New Flash was worded it talked about abuse and spamming.

For now I will keep our sweet little site on @home.com and will have to think long and hard about going back to tripod...and the upshot was I couldn't get back to our edit our Homepage and my garden site and Klaus's travel pages to NYC and Quebec NB and PEI so we really felt awful by the end of he weekend. We have over 600 files and about 70 pages Yikes. I really wishe LYCOS/TRIPOD hadn't goofed and cause me and countless other web people hours of angst.

I write LYCOS/TRIPOD AND THIS IS THEIR ANSWER??

The same thing happened to my husband, he simply sent them a note asking why and got the same response as you and his page was promptly returned the very next day. I don't think you friend will have anything to worry about if he sends a note as well...there was nothing missing from the info.
