Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Nope, would have to be greedy with this one. Maybe a year or two later.........or an extra basal or two later. LOL!! Isn't it amazing what a beautiful flower will reduce an old lady to doing and saying? LOL!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

You're right, Shirley. These Brugs has a way of changing us. LOL

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Monika it's a beauty for sure. Thanks for the picture.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh to be Monika in the summertime! Her brugland must be so spectacular up close and personal! In the wintertime, forget about it! LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

In the wintertime we need pictures from you. LOL!! Actually we need to know a lot of people who grow them in covered botanical gardens. They could keep us supplied. Alice does a great job of providing us with some beautiful pictures during the winter. Some day, I'll have my dream greenhouse.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Oh Good Shirley....hurry and get that dream greenhouse cause winter will be back here in about 8 months! LOL And I will be drooling over beautiful pics while the snow if flying outside!

Monika....keep those pics coming.....it is like a drug fix for me to see them. LOL Thanks for all your hard work and for sharing with us!

Brinda :)`

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Thank you all! I will do my very best.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

What a beauty!! I also want to thank you for all your hard work! You are an amazing woman Monika, in MANY more ways than one. What an honor and joy to be able to speak with you on here!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

AMEN Shelly! I have never gotten over how Monika took us under her wing when we knew virtually nothing about brugs. She always remembered and understood what a new brug grower needed to know. She is the one who brought us all to where we are now.
I, for one, will always be grateful to Monika.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Me too Liz. I don't know of any other person who even comes close to having the knowledge that she has and that she has shared with all of us. We would still be growing a lot of Frosty Pink's were it not for Monika telling us how to move on to better things.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

just great.

Okay, dear, new, best brug friends - clue me in!! Tell me the Monika story. How long have all you been together and how did you get to know Monika, yada, yada. You can bottom line it for me, but I'd love to know. TIA!!! SherryLikeTheWine

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Brugcrazy knew Monika, I think, before any of us did. She got Monika signed up at Daves and we all just became good friends. It seems like we have known each other for years, but I've only been here for about three years. I signed up in Sept. of 01 and Monika came in Oct. the same year. I don't know of a group of people that have been able to get along as well as the majority of the members here. Many of us are friends outside of the brug forum too. Two of my best friends are people I've met online.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I was lucky enough to find her here! She is here every day,and will talk to the beginner with the same tone she talks to the Pro.
You will not meet a classier lady,I have spoken to her on the phone, and she is as sharp as she is classy.
If she gives advice,I listen,I followed her seed starting advice, and have never had such results.

Root.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I haven't known Monika but about a year but it feels like we've been friends for always. She's a wonderful person.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I'm with Root. Over the years people have said why don't we try this or that? Monika has been growing brugs for 20+ years and knows what works and what doesn't. So when Monika says do it this way, That's the way I do it. She has been there and done that, and knows what works and what doesn't. The best advice I could give anyone here? Set aside a lot of time and enter "Monika" in the search area here. You won't regret it.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Amen, Liz.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

She is just an all around wonderful person, a true heart of gold. If she says somthing, she stands behind it NO MATTER WHAT.
One of the 1st things I ever remember Monika saying to me was "there are no stupid questions" that meant the world to me. She has repeated instructions and advice over and over and over, and has never complained.

Like Kell said, we love you Monika!!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Brugcrazy introduced her to me. I've sure asked her for help a bunch of times! Thanks Monika for being there.

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

She has freely given advice. Her knowledge I have no reason to doubt. I didn't really know her until recently and have enjoyed some nice converstations with her. She doesn't deserve all the [deleted] that has been going on. With all her wonderful pictures , I want my garden to be just like her's . (Not gonna happen I know) But I can sure dream.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So true Peggy! All she has done is be a good friend to all of us. Monika and I have been having late night long talks for a long while! She keeps me up way past my bedtime! A very bad influence. But a dear friend. LOL

Whitewater, WI

Beautifully said, my friends....

It's rare to find a person who gives everything and asks for nothing in return. I would pray no one ever tires of hearing compliments of Monika after the years of dedication of brugmansias growing and giving freely of her knowledge.

And I agree, Mystic. Shame on anyone who tries to diminish her expertise. For when they attempt that, they try to diminish someone who has been a dear friend of brug lovers, not just a brug grower.

And believe me, newbies, Monika will feel embarassed for the attention but there's never a better time than the present for telling her how we all feel. Thanks, Monika!!!

Iowa Park, TX(Zone 8a)

Monika the information you have provided on DG is invaluable to me as a newbie. A very major part of any success I attain in growing brugs will be attributed to you. At the time I sent & receivd email from you I had no clue who you were. I just knew from your pictures you knew what you were doing! And I wanted brugs like yours. Now I do know & I value your thoughts & opinions with different eyes. You are such a kind, caring, generous, and thoughtfull person. My heart felt "THANKS" to you!

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Monika, beautiful color of those brugs. Now that I am finally getting your book, that should help me in growing better brugs. Donna
