Was wondering if anyone could recomend a good hardy peach tree for zone4-5, that has good flavor and size? Places to check would be appreciated also. Thanks in advance.
Peach Trees
Impiefish,
Red Haven, Reliance, and Wisconsin Balmer are hardy to zone 4. Good peaches that are hardy to zone 5 are Belle of Georgia and Elberta, but there are a lot more varieties than just these two that are hardy to zone 5. If you have the room, a good idea is to plant several varieties with different maturity times so you don't get all your peaches at once. A very good source for what varieties do well in your area can probably be obtained from your county extension agent.
Thank you so much. I will look into these further.
