Great site, thanks for the info. I just know I won't have enough room for everything I want to plant. Happy New Year.

Thanks for the great info. I am going to get a few along with their soil tester. Cheaper than any I have found yet.

Kim, We've been buying from LeJardin for years. The number of seeds vary by weight of the seeds. A squash or zucchini may have five or six seeds for example. I just opened a package of Green Beans 'Aigulle Vert' from last year and it has twenty seeds. Lettuces obviously have more. It's been a fun way to try new things and I especially like their lettuces and also the mesclun mix.

For 2 years running I have ordered seeds from LeJardin, a wonderful company in my opinion.

I live in Canada & when I first ordered, the advertisment in an old gardening magazine said 25c per package plus $2.00 shipping, I had a $5.00 US bill so sent it off to them, ordered 12 herb packages @25c = $3.00 plus the $2.00 shipping. They kindly sent me all 12 packages even though the price had risen to 30c per pacakage!! Now that's what I call customer relations. I have ordered from them ever since (at 30c per package).

It is a great way to try out something new, if you like it you can always order the $1.00 package, which have tons of seeds in them.

Looks like a great place to get herb seed! I printed the order so I can cuddle up with the herb book and do some serious day-dreaming.

I have received Le Jardin's catalogues on and off for years but for some reason just never ordered from them. I guess I was hesitant because so much of their stuff is listed in French and wasn't real sure what the English equivilant was. But I jumped in this year with both feet and just placed a HUGE order with them. Had a problem wih the order and called and left them a message over the weekend and they called me back first thing this morning. That's what I call service. The lady said the web site is new this year and they are still trying to work out some of the bugs and will hopefully have a "shopping cart" on it soon. So that will help. Anyway, I feel it would be a sure bet for anyone to order from them.

I also have found Fedco Seeds to be super. They have an excellent selection of varieties and they run it like a co-op so aren't out to make a profit. Very reasonable prices.
They are working on a web site presently so you still have to order by mail or fax but it's definately worth it. You can, however, go to the web site www.fedcoseeds.com to request a catalogue.

Pinetree seeds is one of my other favorites. Great prices. Their web site is www.superseeds.com. Check them out. You will be glad you did.

The last company I can recommend for selection, especially in certain heirloom varieties, is R.H. Shumway. They tend to be high on their prices, but do have the selection of certain varieties that I have not seen anywhere else. Their web site is www.rhshumway.com.

For tomato and pepper varieties I use Tomato Growers (www.tomatogrowers.com) as a first choice and Totally Tomatoes (www.totallytomatoes.com is under construction) as a second choice(it's an off shoot of R. H. Shumway). Both have comparible prices.

I've rambled enough. Happy hunting!

Thank you all for the info. I was really just wondering about the .30 cent seed count,so I could decide if I needed Lg or sample packs.I've got my order ready now!!
