Computer Program for Landscaping

Brown City, MI(Zone 5a)

Hi,
I posted this in the computer program as well, but just to reach more members thought I would post it here as well.
I was looking for some recomendations for a program I can use for landscaping. We have a new home and I am starting from scratch.
I may be dreaming, but is there one where you can put a picture of your home in, add specific plants in specific locations and see what it would look like?
Any recomendations will be appreciated.

Hi Tree Climber, we use the one by Broderbund called Total 3D Landscape deluxe. I am not sure if you can use a photo on this one, but you can build your home from the ground up and it comes out looking just like your house! It is pretty neat. Lisa

Hi, Tree_Climber! There was a recent thread on this topic.....here it is:

Several of us have purchased the same software (I actually got it for free after a rebate at Best Buy). I'm pretty sure I could upload photos, but I used it to create a fairly decent facsimile of my house, then added beds and plants. There are tons of plants you can choose from, or add your own.

And of course, there are many other software packages out there, so perhaps some others could share their thoughts on them.....

Hello there Tree_climber. "Alan Titchmarsh's Barleywood Garden Designer" give this one a miss. I'm Alans number one fan but I can seem to get this programme to do anything I want it to and it has such a limited amount of choice of things you can add in the way of graphics. 4/10

TREECLiMBER----i have a program where I take a photo of my house, and put in plants, like you were asking about. It's called Imagine Your Landscape". I like it!

I tried to get that 3D Landscape Delux, i heard it was pretty good, i ended up with 3D landscape Delux 2, its not so good as the first.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I will check out the ones you suggested my next trip to a software supplier.
